Thank You Letters

Dear Susan,

We just arrived in our hotel in London and I had to email you to tell you what a success the Soul Lights were.  With the 10 I got from you plus the 7 I still had on hand, coincidentally we had just enough for the entire staff of flight attendants.

Following your lead to sign them from Peter and me, I decided to laminate them all and write in permanent marker on them “Warm wishes, Michael Maloney (8A) and Peter Lyons (9A),” which indicated our seat numbers.

Peter then went to the “Supervisor Flight Attendant” and gave him the whole bag to distribute.  He came over to thank me and then throughout the flight, the flight personnel were coming to our seats, some of them absolutely giddy as to how much they loved them and how grateful they were.  Funny thing is, I thought they’d be bombarded with gifts, but I guess not.  Anyway, they asked where we got them and I told them about our friend who makes them and that the information was on the back of the card.

At the end of the flight, our flight attendant gave us a bottle of champagne from all of them, to thank us.  The Captain made an announcement thanking the individuals who gave the gifts to the flight attendants.

It was really nice and I thought you’d enjoy knowing what a hit they were.

Thank you for going out of your way the other day to put them all together for us.  I really appreciate it.
